Getting Started with Pawtl.Pro

A quick guide to setting up your business and getting the most out of the app.

1. Set up your business details

Head to Settings and fill in your business name, contact details, address and bank details. These appear on your invoices, so it's worth getting them right first.

While you're there, check the Booking Types tab — you can customise the types of services you offer (e.g. solo walk, group walk, pet sitting visit) and set your default prices.

2. Add your clients and their pets

Go to Clients and add your clients with their contact details and address. Then go to Pets to add their animals — each pet is linked to a client and you can record breed, temperament, feeding info, vet details and more.

You can upload a photo for each pet too, which will appear on your dashboard when they're booked in for the day.

3. Create your bookings

Use Bookings to schedule your walks and visits. Pick the client, choose a booking type, set the date and time, and select which pets are included. You can create one-off or recurring bookings.

Your Dashboard will show today's schedule and upcoming bookings at a glance.

4. Send invoices and track payments

Go to Invoices to create invoices for your clients. You can add line items from your completed bookings or add custom items. Once an invoice is ready, you can email it directly to your client.

When a client pays, record the payment against their invoice. You can also record bulk payments and manage client credit from the client's profile card.

5. Track your expenses

Use Expenses to log your business costs — fuel, supplies, insurance, equipment and more. You can attach receipt photos to each expense for your records.

6. Stay organised

Tasks lets you keep a to-do list with due dates — reminders to send invoices, follow up with clients, or anything else you need to stay on top of.

Unavailability lets you block out holidays or days you can't work, so you don't accidentally double-book yourself.

7. Calendar sync

In Settings > Calendar, you can generate an iCal feed URL. Add this to Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook and your bookings will appear automatically alongside your personal calendar.

8. Reports

Use Reports to see a summary of your income and expenses for any date range. Useful for keeping track of how your business is doing and for tax time.

Tip: On mobile, save the app to your home screen for the best experience. On iPhone, tap the share button then "Add to Home Screen". On Android, tap the three-dot menu then "Add to Home Screen".
